Job Description:
Technical Support Engineer Applies diversified knowledge of Hardware Engineering/Networking/Servicing principles, practices, implementation and support. Primary responsibility is to ensure proper software installation support at customer sites. This position coordinates, analyzes, configures and troubleshoots information applications relating to companys biomedical analyzing systems for the clinical laboratory. General responsibilities include, participating in technical/business reviews, involvement in demonstrating and testing and implementing new products. Participates with Research and Development in new product design. Act as level 2 support to the Customer Support Center and Field Engineering staff. Troubleshoots issues to determine root cause and identifies possible solutions. Experience: BS in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience 4 Years experience in installation/support of IT applications Preference to those candidate with LIS, crystal reports or vmware experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Strong customer service focus. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong organizational/planning and follow-up skills with attention to detail. - Classroom facilitation skills. - Proficiency with troubleshooting complex computer hardware and software systems. - Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. - Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. - Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, internet software, e-mail, database software. Pay range is $46,000 to $85,100 depending on experience (avg $65,000) great benefits, 401k etc. Relocation package offered.
