Job Description:
Technical support specialist This position provides clinical and research customer technical support for our products. Key responsibilities include supporting existing products through application development, supporting customer evaluations during the sales process, managing technical collaborations, and supporting customer training. Executes bench experiments to validate products and applications Designs and conducts experiments to assist in customer evaluations of products Assist in troubleshooting and resolving challenging histology, IHC, ISH, and molecular biology applications May conduct or assist with in-service training sessions for customers May conduct or assist with in-service training sessions for company personnel Present technical information in poster and/or workshop formats Work as a team member in a matrix organization Formal Training/Education: Qualification in Histology and IHC, or BS in Biology, Molecular Biology or related field. Experience: Minimum of two years experience in histology and IHC and/or molecular/cell biology techniques, or relevant systems and reagents experience including extensive knowledge of Ventanas legacy and current reagents and platforms. Prior bench experience mandatory with technical applications or technical support experience strongly desired. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prepare and present information to groups. Understanding of project management techniques and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Ability to read and understand professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to do application development using a methodical approach and utilizing logical experiment
