Technical Support Representative - Biotech- Washington, DC

Job Description:
r client company specializes in products for the biological research laboratory. They are looking for an inside Service Rep to join their team. This person will respond to technical inquiries received via phone, fax, web, or email, from customers in a competent, professional, and timely manner. The representative serves as a liaison between the customers and the scientific staff, triaging inquiries that are beyond the scope of the Technical Representatives expertise. This person also provides support and assistance to the Product Managers and the Marketing department. Education and Experience: B.S. degree in a biological science or equivalent experience is required. Experience in technical service, customer service, and/or experience in a laboratory is preferred. Molecular and cellular biology experience, specifically cell culture and PCR experience is also desired. Proficiency with computers and their applications is required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A strong scientific background Strong verbal and written skills Excellent interpersonal skills Must be able to work independently as well as a part of a team Proficiency with office software, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook. This position is based near D.C. Base salary ranges $40k to $45k, great benefits and opportunity for advancement. M-F 9am to 5pm only. No relocation package offered but candidates outside of the area can be considered. Due to United States export control laws, only applicants authorized to work in the U.S. can be considered.
